James Bruno joined Vocus in 2010 after an accomplished 24-year career in the life sciences industry, where he held senior-level roles in Marketing and Sales.

As Senior Vice President, Corporate Development, Bruno is responsible for developing and implementing corporate and business level strategies that support Vocus' growth objectives. In this role, he analyzes and assesses business segments to support Vocus' short and long term M&A strategy, which includes identifying and recommending markets and candidates to pursue. Additionally, Bruno negotiates and manages the corporate development transaction process.

After starting his career as a sales representative at Beecham Laboratories, Bruno progressed through the biopharmaceutical industry in positions of increasing responsibility, providing leadership for major brand launches worldwide, building and managing sales teams, and leading multi-million dollar acquisitions. Prior to joining Vocus, Bruno was Vice President of Sales at Remedi SeniorCare.

Bruno earned his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from St. Joseph's University, and his MBA from Drexel University.
